About the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor
We are known by our good deeds, such as placing Connie’s Clock at the Bogue Viewing Platform in Gig Harbor’s Finholm District, rebuilding the Orthopedic Guild that benefits Mary Bridge Children’s hospital, building the public restrooms and pavilion in Skansie Brothers Park, and refurbishing and donating the Midway School building to the Gig Harbor History Museum. (See more of our contributions here.)
We also facilitated the building of the Rotary Bark Park, built trail bridges in Sehmel Homestead Park and a new deck at the Wollochet Bay Estuary park. Rotary is perhaps best known for virtually eradicating polio worldwide. All these things take dedicated, active Rotarians; and they also take money.
